PIONEERING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN NURSING

The AI Nurses Network offers a number of training opportunities to upskill nurses on artificial intelligence, from an introductory webinar on AI in nursing to a more in-depth online training programme called Innovation Scholars covering foundational AI and data science knowledge and skills, as well as a webinar series and bespoke workshops that run each year. More information on these training resources and how to access them is provided below.

Introductory webinar

Artificial intelligence in nursing

The introductory webinar from Dr Siobhan O'Connor gives an overview of the key AI concepts such as machine learning and natural language processing and their applications in nursing. The webinar also introduces the AI Nurses Network and discusses the education and training, seed funding, and networking and events that are part of the clinical research network. Innovation Scholars

AI and data science training for healthcare

Innovation Scholars is a free online training programme on AI and data science specifically tailored for healthcare to support professionals such as nurses to learn the fundamentals of AI and data science. The online courses, available here, are free to enroll in and complete online at your own pace. An underpinning introductory course for those with no experience of what data is, as a precursor to the courses available via the Innovation Scholars programme, is also available to access online for free on Future Learn.

Webinar series and bespoke AI workshops

Artificial intelligence in nursing

We run a monthly webinar series feature nurses pioneering AI techniques, models and tools in healthcare. These cover a range of areas where nurses can use AI including education, research and clinical practice. Our webinar series is available on our dedicated YouTube channel here.
