Irish Urology Nurses Annual Education Conference 2026

Dr Siobhan O'Connor was invited as the keynote speaker at the Irish Association of Urology Nurses (IUAN) Annual Education Conference on the 6th February 2026. She spoke about artificial intelligence in urology nursing and the importance of the AI Nurses Network in supporting nurses to develop and apply AI techniques and AI tools in their professional practice.

A lively discussion ensued with critical questions asked on the safety and reliability of current AI models and generative AI tools and how these could be integrated into nursing practice to benefit patient care. A key takeaway message was that sharing knowledge and resources on AI was critical to progress nurses understand and use of artificial intelligence in healthcare and that the resources of the network would be useful for early and mid career nurses as well as senior leaders in nursing.
